Technical expertise is a key asset of Apollo – customers tell us it has been one of our USPs since our beginning in 1972. Our founder, Robert Saunders, was a development chemist and the technical ethos at Apollo remains today. Robert sadly passed away in 2014, so we have named our technical centre in his memory. Robert helped pioneer polyurethane (PU) technology for Apollo and the industry, and his technical knowledge paved the way for Apollo’s innovations today.
What our new technical centre means for you:
Innovation and Product Development
With innovation at the heart of Apollo, our new centre includes state of the art laboratories and equipment. Our facilities will bolster product development, allowing us to continue our culture of innovation, as we strive to shape the future of your markets.
Our new labs will also allow for improved product testing, ensuring we continue to provide the best performing adhesives, coatings and primers in the markets we choose to compete.
Training and Demonstrations
The Robert Saunders Building also features new training and demonstration areas, including both classroom and practical areas, allowing us to provide you with specialised training. We can demonstrate, train, learn and share knowledge and ideas together.
As part of our ‘More than adhesives’ brand promise, we are committed to ensuring that you have the product knowledge you need for the successful completion of your project, whether this be onsite or in the factory. Our in-house training can cover a range of topics and is always tailored to you.
