Apollo celebrated its ninth consecutive record year with a BBQ for the workforce at its Amington Road Industrial Estate premises.
Managing Director, Ian Cornelius said; “We’ve had another great year and it’s all down to the efforts of each and every one of our 192-strong Apollo team.
“Our achievements are even more pleasing considering we’ve been operating alongside the uncertainty of Brexit. However, we’ve still managed to ensure that our customers’ orders have been fulfilled and supported them as they too try to plan ahead as much as possible whilst not knowing the final Brexit outcome.”
During the last 12 months, Apollo has invested £1.2m in a new warehouse facility and £540,000 in a new technical centre in response to growing business demands and its commitment to customer support. Further investment in infrastructure is planned in terms of manufacturing plant and machinery and to streamline processes to ensure maximum efficiency.
Looking ahead to the next 12 months, Ian added: “We are confident that we are in a position to continue to grow and are committed to continually investing in our business and our colleagues. Last year we recruited 39 new members of staff and continue to actively recruit at all levels including boosting our apprenticeship programme to ensure that we have the right people with the right skills to future proof our business.”
